Tsugi-ashi

Stepping pattern where the front foot glides forward, and the back foot closes up (no crossing).

The movement may also start with the back foot moving first, closing up to the front foot, then the front foot gliding forward. In other martial arts, only this is called TSUGI-ASHI.
