Two Ikkyo variations:

  • via contact on the back of the hand when uke comes back in ai-hanmi (only omote makes sense)
  • via the gripped shoulder when uke comes back in gyaku-hanmi (both omote & ura)

In the first variant, emphasise the vertical upward movement for ikkyo
