Aikido seminar with Hélène Doué
(30 Oct – 1 Nov 2026)
The aikido of Hélène Doué is characterised by clarity and precision. She feels that it is important to experience the pleasure of the practice itself, training with as many partners as possible, and to expand the possibilities for evolving, going back to the basics to explore applications, and see the changes in one's body and mind along the way.
Hélène started practising Aikido at the age of 9, at the Cercle Tissier in Vincennes, near Paris. Intensive practice with several hours each day enabled her to obtain her dan grades at a young age. For over 3 decades, she has been following her main teacher, Christian Tissier shihan.
Hélène set up her own club in 2010 which is now Aïkido en Seine, and she is also teaching students at the University of Paris as part of the APSA (Sports, Physical and Artistic Activities) programme. For over a decade, she has been teaching autistic teenagers at a Medical-Educational Institute, and provides training throughout France to organisations working with this population.
Hélène holds a 6th dan (UFA) and Aikikai, and DEJEPS Aikido, and she is a member of the National Technical College for the FFAAA, as Regional Federal Delegate for Normandy. She regularly teaches aikido seminars across Europe.
